There are two things in life I love most, one is family the other is photography. Photography has changed over the last four decades, but my interest has never wavered. I have been fortunate enough to pursue my passion for photography and videography in parallel with a successful career. I have had the opportunity to photograph and video weddings, theatre shows, live events, music videos, concerts, corporate headshots, family portraits, sporting events etc, with the same enthusiasm and excitement as when I bought and used my first camera.
People create the magic of these special moments, but it is the camera that records those unique memories for generations to share..
Ha ha, Yes, as you can see from my picture I am not the youngest wedding photographer out there. But for me, the saying 'age is just number' rings true. I still train at an MMA gym a few times a week with one of my sons and clay pigeon shooting with the other, weekends away surfing, correction
body boarding with my wife & grandchildren.
The best way I can tell you is by telling you of a conversation between with my eldest granddaughter. We were on holiday and she asked me why I was always so happy every morning. My reply puzzled her and still does, I said 'it's because I woke up'. What more in life can you ask for? I hopefully I get another 24hrs to spend with you and another chance to capture lifes' precious moments, which about sums me up. I love life.
I have been involved in martial arts and musical theatre for more years than I care to remember. When I met my beautiful wife who was a dancer at the time, she convinced me that musical theatre would help me with my martial arts. Hence 40 years later I am still doing both.
It was the beauty of seeing my wife on a fully lit stage bursting with actors and dancers together with the vibrant colours and the movement and the sound that blew me away. It ignited my passion into photography and later videography. Even now when I pick up a camera, I am like a kid in a sweet shop.
